A Great Weekend and a Bump on the Head

Well, I kinda fell behind on this blog thingy didn't I? Last time I posted we had just celebrated a wonderful birthday party at Mom's house. As the week progressed, so did my presents, YAY. I got new tupperware from David, just love fancy new tupperware. He also got me the coolest present ever, A Kindle from Amazon. It can hold up to 1000 books. So neat. See pic below:



We had a great weekend as well... Friday was bowling with our friends from Texarkana, Emily had a great time with her cousin Caitlin (David's niece) and I actually bowled a 117, too bad I had to have the bumper pads up, or it would have been a 17,:)





After a fun filled evening of bowling we started out Saturday with a yummy breakfast. Then we had a house full of folks for a party to celebrate all of our birthdays. Here are some highlights.

A Bump on the Head
Enjoyed church on Sunday and had a great nap. We were cleaning up on Sunday evening when Emily slipped on some water in the kitchen floor and fell backwards smacking her head on the tile. She cried and cried, and then settled on down. we sat down for supper and she got sleepy all of a sudden and fell asleep in David's arms. We put her to bed and she woke up about 11:30pm with a fever. We gave her some Motrin and we all headed to bed. She promptly threw up in our bed...OMG that was awful. I am NOT good with vomit. Anyway, after changing our sheets we all finally went to sleep. This morning she was still feverish and just lethargic and sleepy. I got really worried she had a concusion so we took her into the doctor. Turns out she had hand/foot/mouth disease. Thanks goodness it is nothing too serious. She perked up when we got home and decided to change her clothes and color with her new color wonder markers that do not mark on mommy's furniture!
