Wow, behind again--Much to report

Hi Blog World,
I am behind yet again. Student teaching and keeping up with life have kept me off the blogosphere for a while now.

Things are going well here. Emily had her three year old check up and her birthday party. She got lots of presents and is super healthy. We are good for another year. I can hardly believe that she is already three. Where did the time go?

BIG NEWS
David got a job at a home care in Bedford, so we are MOVING!!!!

I am excited, terrified, elated, and overwhelmed....not necessarily in that order.

I am thrilled that David got a job with a good salary that uses his skills. Not so thrilled that I have to leave my friends, family and church :(

Super excited to get a new house (Bedford = more modern house) Not so excited to have to pack this house, (I've got quite a bit of stuff).

Very happy when checking teacher salaries in the area ($15K more than here)..not so happy that I have totally won over the Science department here and now have to start all over.

GRADUATION
In a few short weeks, like 4...I will be the happy recipient of a Bachelors degree with a 4.o average, thank you very much. I have been approved to sit for my state exams (Yes Eve, I am studying). This is such a HUGE accomplishment and I took the long way around, but I'm here.

Trying to get a routine...Again
David is staying in a hotel while we make the transition to Bedford, (not fun, but necessary for now) so Emily and I are running the house while he is away. I have mentioned before that I have struggled to establish a routine because as business owners, we set our own hours. Well, as a school teacher, my hours are pretty well set for me. This is good! Now that David is not here, I am having to really manage my time to make sure I am up and out the door to get Emily and I to our respective schools on time.

I have been doing good and I hope it sticks. This morning, I left a clean kitchen and dinner plans ready to go. This afternoon when I came home, I did 1 hour of intense cleaning and started laundry and supper. Tonight, I folded laundry and got the lunches all ready (laundry still going...baby steps people). Emily and I will be wheels up by 7:10 in the morning, so I had better get to bed.

Love y'all
Till next time (which I hope will be soon)

  1. You're such an amazing woman, and I am so proud to be part of your life. I am excited, and elated about the new wonderment in your life.

David's new job is such a blessing. It's important for people to love what they do, and do what they love. That goes for you, too!. You're a natural teacher, and the new science department will love you even more than the one you're with, now (if that's even possible)!

I definitely understand about routine. When my routine falls apart...I tend to flail about for a while, achieving nothing of significance until I can find a way to manage my time effectively. I think I need a little drama in my life every now and again or everything goes to, "hell in a hand basket". hehehehehe

I love you and we cannot wait to see you for the Holidays. This year is Thanksgiving in Brenham (remind me to tell you all about that situation :-/, but we'll have Christmas together...wherever that is. Hopefully, here!

Love you, and I will talk to you soon!
