I had a busy, but fun filled weekend and I have the shopping bags to prove it... Emily and I started out EARLY Saturday morning to Bossier City to have breakfast with my parents and my aunt and uncle. The food there was not great, but the company was wonderful. I LOVE my family. Then we were off to Texarkana to meet up with my good friend Cindy, she and I have soooo much fun when we are together. After she finished up a Toastmasters event (I arrived just in time to miss it, hehe), we went to McCalisters for lunch. My super spud was awesome, but I forgot to ask them to remove the olives and as I was picking them off, Emily helped herself to one, I was sure she would spit it out because black olives are such a strong flavor. Just showed what I know, she ate a bunch of them and thought they were super yummy.
Yummy Supper
After lunch, we stopped off at a birthday party for a 90 year old friend of Cindy's. If I should live so long, I hope I look are great as this sweet lady. Emily was about done after that and we headed home for a nap (kids are a great excuse to get to have naps on Saturday, hehe). After nap it was time for more yummy food. We went to a great Mexican restaurant called Zapatas and the food was sooo good, and the two margaritas I had went down way to easy (evil grin). After supper, we stopped at Albertsons for breakfast fixins and a movie (Did you hear about the Morgans).
Early Morning for Emily
Little miss woke me up at 6:45AM that was great fun. She kept going to Cindy's door saying, "doggie, doggie" I kept telling her the doggie was not up yet. After Cindy and her dog Maggie got up we started breakfast. Emily helped make the blueberry pancakes and Cindy handled the hash browns and the bacon, YUMM-O.
Morning Snooze
Emily needed a nap early because of her crack of dawn wake up which provided us a the perfect excuse to not only skip church (bad girls), but to take a nap after breakfast (again kiddos=good excuse)
Shopping Commences
Finally we got started on the shopping, first up was TJ Max for mother's day presents and fun finds and then to Lane Bryant for Summer clothes. We stopped for lunch at a Chinese buffet, Emily likes the noodles (lots of food surprises the weekend). We tried to shop at Dillards, but Emily was just having a complete meltdown so we headed on home. After a rest we headed home to Daddy.
I had such a great time with my friend, she is a wonderful host and I feel like I am family at her house. God is so good to bless us with fabulous people in our lives. I was having such a good time, I forgot to take any pictures. Oh Well...
Night Night
