It was a wonderful holiday spent with family. We enjoyed waaaayyyy too much food, but what else is new for Turkey Day. David, Emily and I headed over to my Uncle Mark's house for lunch/dinner/dessert. We didn't get home until 9:30pm.
On Friday we decorated the yard and rearranged the house for the christmas tree and our new furniture. A local furniture store is going out of business so we got a pretty decent deal on a new living room set. David had to get up in the attic to move the cable line to the other end of the room. Not easy. I am glad he is so accomidating.
Emily and I were sitting on the couch and I gave her a kiss on her head and realized she was really hot. I took her temp and she had a low fever. I gave her some Tylenol and we decided to go to supper at Carlitos....NOT a good idea. After being seated and ordering Emily was sick all over the place....bad, bad, bad! We cleaned up and hightailed it outta there.
On Saturday she had fever on and off and we visited David's parents. Last night she was very unhappy and not feeling well. She didn't get to sleep until 1:30 am, So we missed church today :(
After a couple whiny, bad days, I think she is all better. She seemed more herself today and is sleeping well now.
The house is all decorated, the tree is up and, I am almost done addressing my Christmas cards, (be watching your mailboxes hehe). I am looking foward to getting back into my routine.
I am going to start reading my advent devotional tomorrow. I am also going to go for a good walk in the morning.
I will post pics of the house decorations and new furniture later.
Till next time...Enjoy the season.
Happy for you that Emily is better! Not fun times. Random question--does Donna have more of those iphone skins? I got an iphone and it needs some decorating! :)
ReplyDeleteI am waiting to see the new decor, it seems I can't get out of Texas, must be an invisible force field or something. Perhaps I could apperate?
ReplyDeleteHope Em is all better.
Please email Heather and wish her a Happy Holiday, I know she is lonely.
Love you,
