WOW! Another week has flown by. We had a very busy week last week and are looking foward to thanksgiving.
Weekend Wrap Up
On Wednesday, David headed out to Tenessee and it was just Emily and I until Friday. We enjoyed our office thanksgiving feast and then enjoyed our church thanksgiving dinner on Wednesday.
I can't remember what I did on Thursday besides pack....Oh yeah, I went to an estate sale and lunch with Donna Varnell. Sarah met us at lunch. I got two sets of linen napkins one with six and the other with eight for seven dollars (Bargain)!!
Friday morning Emily and I had breakfast and played blocks before Donna came over for naptime shift, followed by Sarah for evening shift. My mom picked up Emily around 4:30 and whisked her off to Bossier.
I was Dallas bound with my friends Cindy and Kyle who were kind enough to take a detour and pick me up. We arrived in Dallas and commenced to the conference.
David's plane was delayed so he didn't arrive until nearly 9pm. :( He was pretty wiped out but he tried to hang out.
On Saturday we started with an early breakfast and keynote and then headed to some educational classes. I learned about the DISC personality analysis which I had heard of, but it was interesting information. Then I went to a class on how to make money by speaking. Very good info also.
Saturday night was another speech contest and a nice dinner, (more turkey and dressing UGH).
David and I headed out Sunday to pick up Emily and got back home around 4pm.
Baby Timing
As most of you know, David and I have been trying to conceive since January of this year. We started on Clomid back in January and stepped up the dose little by little to see if it would help me to ovulate. When we had Emily, it only took two cycles to conceive. Not so lucky this time. After months of not ovulating, my doctor switched me to a new medication called Femera and low and behold I ovulated the first month. I was so excited, but unfortunately NOT pregnant. The second month of Femera I did not ovulate so we were going to up the dose. As I began looking at the calendar, I realized if I got pregnant today, I would deliver right in the middle of my student teaching (not ideal). So... David and I are going to take a break from our baby project until the spring. Since I/we made the decision to relax a bit, I feel sooo much better. I had felt like my life was revolving around days on the calendar, ovulation and "homework" on appropriate days. By waiting until Spring, Baby Wilcox 2.0 will arrive in late 2011 or early 2012 and I will have until Fall 2012 before I start work at a school. God, if you read the blog, hopefully we can get on the same timetable, HEHE :)
I still desperately want a second child, but for now, I am going to focus on getting healthier every day and enjoying my super sweet daughter and wonderful husband.
Turkey Day
Today it is grocery shopping and prepping for Turkey Day. I am looking so forward to being with my family. We always meet at my aunt and uncles house in Bossier. I am in charge of two pies, greenbean casserole and deviled eggs. YUMMY!!
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving everyone and please know that I am so thankful for each of you.
Till Next Time
Love T.
You go girl.
ReplyDeleteI/we wish we could be there for Thanksgiving and I also wish certain family members could afford reliable cars!!!
Can only fit 3 bodies in the pick-um-up truck.
Tell everyone I love them.

I am so happy that you have come to a peaceful resolution for yourself for now. Relaxing is so good for the spirit, and I don't think we do it enough! :)
