Had a really nice day today.
I was able to stop by and visit two friends for some much needed chatting.
I was introduced to a blog today that made me so thankful. This family was casually sitting eating lunch at a diner when a car barrelled through the window and into the restaurant...The family lost their oldest daughter and their lives were changed forever. I was riveted by their story, I could not imagine a life without Emily or David. This woman was so strong.
On her blog she mentioned a memory they had made before the death of their daughter involving coke floats, little did they know how precious this memory would be. What a powerful story.
Well...tonight we made a few memories of our own. Emily came out of her room wearing her hot pink hat just prancing into the room very pleased with herself. After she read me some doggie stories, she decided it was time for some music and dancing. Emily has a small keyboard that plays a variety of songs. She went over and made her Daddy get up and dance with her, then she wanted Mommy to dance to. So there we were all dancing together in the living room. Don't you just wish you had cameras mounted sometimes to catch all the great moments that just happen. I will be keeping this memory in my head to remember how precious our time together is.
I am way behind on homework and house work, but I will get caught up. David has been very sick for the past three days. Our friend Michael and our friend Cindy are also sick. Weirdly, Emily and I are fine (thank you Lord). David went to his doctor today and got some medication, so I am hopeful that he will be better soon. I am a terrible nurse and really can't help him and I know he hates being sick.
Off to bath and bedtime for Emily, but I have to play horsey first.
Later
