I am sitting here at home alone. I took Emily to school and David headed in to work. I am about to get ready and head in myself, but i just paused to check email etc...
As I sit here, the house is eerily quiet and all I hear is the ticking of the hands on the clock..tick,tick,tick. I got to thinking about Time and how we break our lives down into little snipets of time. Hours and minutes and seconds only have meaning because we have assigned meaning to them. If we did not name the hour, it would pass just the same. I wonder what life would be like if time were not measured? How would we note the passing of time? Would we use nature (It has been two moons since I saw you)? I guess that is how it started out anyway, people must have measured time by nature.
I wonder if God measures time the way we do? We wait for the things we pray for and as longer time passes, we become more impatient. But if God does not assign the same meaning to time as we do, then no time could have passed for Him. Hmmm....
Well now that I have gotten all deep and philosophical on you, I guess I will get my fanny in gear and head on to work on another rainy dreary day....Does God know how long it has been raining? It it TIME for some sunshine.
Have a great day
Till next TIME :)
Hello there, my friend. I have an interesting perspective on Time - you know I do. I found out the hard way that time can be measured in three distinct categories. Time can be measured by the amount spent wallowing in the past or it can be wasted worrying about the future, but Time is less restrictive, less oppressive, and far less noticed when it is used moment by moment. While it is wise to understand our past and plan for our future, the only real time that matters at all is the here, and the everlasting NOW.
