Yes, well...

Hi Everybody,
I have so enjoyed reading all my friend's blogs. It has been a busy and interesting couple of days for many of you. I just finished the cutest book today called, "The Devil in the Junior League" It was all about this Texas junior league and all the propriety (aka snobbery) of some of those organizations, The main character kept find herself at a loss for words and would say "Yes, well" it was tres funny and verra verra fun to read. Hehe

Sooo...What have I been up to other than wasting a whole day reading fun chick lit.

Over the weekend David, Emily and I went to visit friends in Texarkana. Had a great time and got a new purse. I wanted to shop for more than that, but I couldn't wrap the ole wallet around $50.00 for a t-shirt at the Lane Bryant, it was cute, but that is just crazy.

I visited a friends of the library book sale and picked up some books for Emily as well a a book called 'things to do' which is full of cool things for kids and parents to do at home using household items, very cool find. I also stumbled across a book called "If I had my life to do over again, I would have picked more daisies" A very interesting collection of essays and poems by and about women. I just love a good book sale where things are a dollar and old books get new life. Oh Joy!

I also visited a children's consignment shop (that's right I finally found one) and got the cutest clothes for miss Emily. Four really nice ensembles for baby girl. It was a nice weekend for sure.

Yesterday I visited the library with my friend Christy, did you know they have FREE books there :) It is about time I started using the library again. Last night I made an awesome pot roast, so tender and yummy. I am going to eat the leftovers for lunch tomorrow.

Tonight was bean soup with italian sausage. It was good, but something strange happened to the cornbread and it was like lead. I am not sure what I did wrong. But, I did make my own rasberry salad dressing with sugar and organge juice. It stiffened up, so I think i will use the rest for jam. Yummy.

We have a super busy weekend coming up. We are attending a dinner party friday, helping out with a church project on Saturday and having a super bowl party Sunday. I also have to make desserts for a church event on Monday..It is going to be fun.

Here are some pictures of our adventures of late.
