Today was Good Friday and our office was closed which would mean we were off work, or were we? My parents both had the day off, so we moved our yard work plans up a day and they came over to help with yard work and assemble Emily's swing set.
Our good friend Steve J. gave us his kiddos old wooden swing set for the bargain price of hauling it out of his back yard. David and Dad went off to pick up the new addition early this morning.
Back at the house, Mom and I tackled the back hedge-row and flower beds. At first glance, it looked completely overwhelming, but Mom and I knocked it all out in the morning. Now all of my flower beds are ready for the planting tomorrow.
David and Dad got the swing set up and almost finished. While they were off at the Home Depot, Emily kept going over to the swing set on the ground and looking at it as if to say, "When am I going to get to play on this thing?"
After supper we went to the church to hear the choir sing John Stainer's, Crucifixion which was beautiful. Our church was just made for singing.
Another early day looms tomorrow with more planting and repairing on the swing. I bought begonias and new Guinea impatiens for my flower beds. I will post pics when we are done.
