Move Complete and Bittersweet

It has been a crazy week for us with moving our office. We had been taking many mini trips to the new space all week, but the BIG move happend over Friday and Saturday with help from many angels with strong backs who showed up to move. All day Friday we worked on what we could and were able to get some things organized, but by end of business Friday, we were a long way from done. My mom spent the night here and Emily headed over to stay with Nana and Grandad (David's parents). After dinner, Mom, David and I decided to head back up to the office and see what we could get done. Well, we looked up and it was 1:15AM!! We were so tired, but we got so much done.

Saturday started bright and early with a good breakfast (thanks Mom) and we headed off to start working again. After a marathon day on Saturday, the office is up and running and ready for our staff tomorrow morning. We had many funny moments with our helpers and staff, but my favorite was from our friend Steve's son who said the following:

Ethan: "Can I have some more popcorn?"
Laura: "Sure"
Ethan: "This is my third cup of popcorn."
Tricha: "You better be careful, you will turn into a popcorn kernel"
Ethan: "That would be awesome, then I could eat myself."

Kids are so funny!

I am glad we have moved to a less expensive space, it is smaller, but still fits our needs. I am a bit sad though that we weren't able to grow into our bigger space. I know God has a plan for AbleCare and when we needed it, he provided the right space at the right price and he also provided angels to help us move.

Here is a picture of Emily "helping" move out of our old space.

Here is a pic of her "helping" when we moved into our space on Hawkins:

It is amazing how much she has changed since then.

I had a great time shopping with Christy and Donna after church, the dear husbands were kind enough to take care of the kiddos (thanks honey).

All in all it was a productive week and weekend, but just super busy.

This week brings more busy days, but I am looking forward to them. Now off for some much needed rest.

  1. I had fun as well...not even guilty about spending frivolous money! :)
