Un-Slumping Yourself is not Easily Done..

I love Dr. Seuss's book, "Oh, the Places You'll Go" I read it to Emily all the time. There is a phrase in the book that says, "Un-Slumping Yourself is not easily done" While I was reading tonight, that phrase really hit home with me. I feel a bit like I am in a slump. I am not setting, and therefore not accomplishing any goals. I want to organize my house, but I seem to waste time instead of being productive. I want to lose weight, but don't plan my meals or avail myself of my gym membership.

I have all the tools at my disposal to be successful, yet I am not using them. I have no idea what is stopping me, but I really need to get a handle on it.

I did manage to get up early and fix breakfast and lunch for us today. We did eat out for dinner, but that was because we had hand bell practice. I think I will try and continue with these small little victories by heading to bed early so I can get up early and try un-slumping myself.

Night

  1. I love this post! Humans get so bogged down in daily happenings that we forget how to use the tools as our dispense. First and foremost; you ARE successful at anything you attempt. So you have been slacking in the areas you want to un-slump...you're thinking about them and that's the beginning. Just wait, in retrospect you will not see the shortcomings...you'll rejoice in the victories! I have great faith in your tenacity and believe in your success!
