Baby needed a new pair of shoes

Well today was not as productive as I would have liked it to be. I did get more loads of laundry done and am now down to a few more loads of linens. Laundry really vexes me. Emily was off to school this morning and in a great mood. After taking her to school I came home and ate breakfast and commenced to reading my text books. I folded a couple more loads of laundry and then it was time for Toastmasters. We had a great meeting and lots of interested folks.

After a late lunch in the car, I headed over to visit with Christy and the kiddos. Managed to have baby Micah fall asleep in my arms. What a sweetheart. I headed home for a bit and then it was time to pick up Emily from school. We met up with the Collins' at Chick fil A to play on the playground (they must be getting sick of me for sure). David met us for supper at the house of chicken. After we ate, we headed over to Target for some new shoes for miss Emily. Her little feet are hanging over the fronts of her summer sandals. I must say I was more than a little disappointed in the ramshackle condition of the Target shoe area. Someone needs to get on that right away. We had a time finding shoes in Emily's size which surprise is a 7!!! She wore a 5 all summer. Poor thing must be cursing me everyday at school. We did manage to find her some nice fall shoes (see below) but all the tennis shoes had sparkles and whiz bangs that she is not allowed to wear to school, so it was off to Famous Footwear to scope out some less flashy tennis shoes. Our little girl is well heeled for fall :)




At Target, we picked up a new doll for Emily, one she could take in the bathtub with her because she kept wanting to put her fabric dolls in the tub. Upon arriving home, she promptly took all the dolls clothes off and threw her in the tub. She then came to find me and said, "Emmy, clothes off, clothes off" She wanted to take a bath with her dolly. They had the best time and Emily washed her doll and insisted that she have a towel and jammies also. Time is just moving too fast!

I am super behind on my reading for school, so I have to get to it. I did however look into substitute teaching and I am filling out the application online for a second time after I already completed it and hit the wrong button erasing all my work.
