Last night I went to the orientation for my student teaching which starts in two weeks (gasp). I got a hand book, met my field supervisor and received lots of important information.
I just can't tell you how excited I am, I could hardly sleep last night because of all the ideas running around in my head.
My field supervisor, Mary, looks just like my grandma Scott, right down to the pointy chin from not wearing her teeth (eerie) except she has white hair instead of gray. I wonder if my grams hair would have ever gotten white? Anyway, she seems very sweet and I am looking forward to working with her.
I found out that if my mentor teacher has bus duty, lunch duty, faculty meeting, etc., then so do I. Imagine bus duty FUN!!
My field supervisor will come out and observe me teaching three seperate times. Thankfully, we will know well in advance.
Eager beaver that I am, I emailed my mentor teacher and the principle to introduce myself and make arrangements to meet.
This has been a long journey and I am seeing the end so very near. I am a mix of excited, thrilled, and terrified, but ready to jump in there. Now all I have to do is get a snazzy new notebook. :)
In other news:
Emily and David went to a birthday party last night at a splash-pad we have here. Apparently they had a great time, she came home all wet and happy. I will post pics if David emails them to me. :)
David is going to speak with some folks with an insurance company today.
My uncle Rodney is having heart cath today to investigate some chest pain. (prayers appreciated)
This Sunday we have a bowling birthday party to attend. (fun)
I am going to try and use an article from Rachel Ray's magazine to cook base ingredients that are supposed to make 20 different meals. I will post pics when I do it.
Finally, I am missing my friend who moved to Nebraska, I hope all is well with her as she settles into her new home. I miss you Sarah and PS: Update your blog when you have sec he-he.
That's all for now
Till next time...
